Shes Tricky
Trick skiing is treated like the bastard child of 3 event skiing. Which is sad as it is way more entertaining to watch a good 3 event tournament then to watch slalom all day. Tricks, or short board as they call it now, is by far the hardest of the 3 events to get decent at. It takes hundreds of falls and a very patient driver to pick up a new trick.
Running the course on a trick (slippery slalom) is also fun, you can run much deeper on the rope on a trick then you ever will be able to on a slalom ski.

Lake Homes I Want To Ski Past (20 pics)
Many of us in the waterski world got into skiing because we lived on public lakes and quickly realized that fishing was fucking boring. I've always liked skiing on public lakes and checking out the houses along the shore. I would look at some of these places and think "man this is the life". There was a bay on a lake I liked skiing on that every house was at a minimum worth 2 million bucks. It was just cool to go footing or swerve or whatever you felt like doing and see these perfect homes.

Wake Brothers is Brotherly
MTV is going to be airing a new TV show with the Soven brothers, called Wake Brothers. Its looks like its going to be about these two dudes, and they live together and are hella good on wakeboards and the tom-foolery that they do whilst being hella good wakeboarders.
Knowing that this is probably 100% real with nothing scripted, knowing that no reality show is ever staged or scripted, this looks to be pretty cool. *sarcasm*
This is a really cool thing, though, for the wakeboarding world, get some recognizable names out there in the world is never a bad thing. oh, and it appeared there were some pretty girls. Blah blah blah, words. Here, watch the video.

Random side note, I am starting to think that the whole "bro" thing is getting a bit fucked out. BROstock was like, last weekend or the weekend before or whatever, and, well, I really have no over riding opinion, its just so damn cheesy.
On the other hand, the above mentioned tv shows is about actual brothers, like, they have the same parents, vs. brothas which are usually reffered to in that way as they have a different pigmentation in their skin then bros..

Vid Day Monday
From KTLA 5 in Los Angeles comes some fun wake skating behind a jeep. We here at the CRB have done our fair share of skiing behind cars in flooded areas. If its pouring rain and you are afraid to get your pretty Ski MasterBu all wet then tie a rope to the back of your Chevette and hit up the streets.

These came out a few years ago and did not stay on the market long due to people getting killed on them. This is one of those products that you had to be a complete fucking idiot to use. Just watching the promo video made you think that people were going to get hurt. Needless to say the CRB Minion said I was a "bleeder", not sure what that means... But also needless to say he got injured and cried for a couple weeks until he found bath salts and ate his neighbors.

When I was young my parents had a station wagon, one of the old style ones with the rear facing seat in the back. It was an interesting way to travel, sitting and starring at the people/cars or scenery behind us. This vid is the exact same in every single possible way...in much the same way a bowling ball and a snow flake are identical.

Just Do It
Sometimes it seems like things take forever to happen, or seem so far away. Sitting and waiting for things to happen is a great way to waste your life. If you add up all the time you have spent sitting in front of a computer screen or a TV in your life you would probably cry. I know for me that number is probably in the years...and that is just disappointing.
I am not saying you should not watch TV ever or sit in front of a computer, because Game of Thrones and Mad Men kick ass and many of us need the dollars that our bosses pay us to sit and stare blankly at a computer monitor for 8 hours a day. I am saying use those free hours where your boss does not own you to do something fun every day. Fun can be many things, it can be racing out to the lake after work to get in a jump or slalom set, it can be going for a bike ride in a new part of your hometown or even starting a small business so you can be your own boss someday. Whatever it is get out and do it, don't let life eat you up and take away your dreams.
The CRB has a friend that has traveled the world, she is not rich, just works her ass off saves up money and then travels. She has skied in England and New Zealand, climbed mountains in Africa, hiked in the Balkans, toured Italy, lived in a Castle in Scotland, seen the lights of many great European cities at night, surfed the waters of Australia and so much more. My jealousy of her is at a level that I did not know existed, it is even greater then my jealousy of anyone that gets to sleep with Kate Upton.
There is a series of quotes in the video below that fit my point perfectly.
The CRB follows a guy named Alex Luther on Twitter. We have never met him or even talked to him, but he knows what he wants and is pushing himself to get there. His grandfather skied for 5,010 kilometers from Tangiers (on the African side of the straight of Gibraltar) along the coasts of Spain, France, Monaco, Italy and Croatia until his ending point on the east coast of Italy. Alex wants to repeat that trek. He had never even skied before so his training is intense and inspiring. He realized one day that this would be cool and said 'fuck it, lets do this shit'*

Vid Day Monday
This is not a normal video for us to post but this show rules and its season is over. We here at the CRB have been in a deep funk over this, what will we do on our Sunday nights now? I mean besides get drunk on PBR and Franzia behind the Cum and Go on Main St in Cedar Rapids IA? Life Jacket is in the intensive care unit after trying to over dose on Flintstones vitamins, Dig Dug has gone on a digging safari to the center of the earth, CRB Minion is still in prison, and ODBF has given up all hope and just cries like a 13 year old girl that just found out Justin Beiber is gay.
Play this first vid during the opening credits of any show ever made and it makes it 10 times better.
Mad Men? Just won every emmy ever.
Sopranos? The series ending is no longer awful.
American Idol? Still sucks but now you watch it with Jessica Alba on a love seat.
All other reality TV? Just kill yourself for watching that trash anyways.

For years wake boarding has had the best professionaly produced vids. A couple years ago we saw a small flurry of ski vids come on the market but it seems their success was limited as we have not seen another one come out in some time now. Time to step up your game guys, lets do this!
