Wakeboarding in the Olympics

Wakeboarding

The International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) was recognised by the IOC in 1967 and, since then, it has grown to include over 90 member nations and organise a number of international competitions. Of the eight sports vying for inclusion, wakeboarding is the only watersport and its popularity is growing worldwide. IOC president Jacques Rogge said the sport “provides great entertainment for the spectators and adds further youthful appeal,” but will that be enough to see it included in the 2020 programme?

Click HERE and vote to add wakeboarding to the 2020 Olympics.

If you go there and vote for softball because you don't like wakeboarding we will sick the CRB Minion and his drug cartel on your ass. And you know that will not be good.

USAWS, with whom we occasionally disagree, is right to be supporting this. Sure its not 3 event which most of our readers and our entire editorial staff would prefer to see in the Olympics, but its a start.

Also this is cable wakeboarding which we have discussed before how that sport is blowing up all over the place. The barriers to entry into cable skiing and wakeboarding are much lower then traditional boat pulled events. Stop reading now and go vote...just do it and stop bitching about how wakeboarders are punks, we all know that already.
