So it seems that Waterskiing has made it onto the silver screen again. H20 Extreme is set to be released this summer and is set in Florida, following the life of a small town boy from Wisconsin trying to decide if he wants to follow his Hockey skills into the NHL or his follow his real passion Waterskiing and join the H20 Extreme show.
The trailer looks interesting, not going to win any critical aclaim or anything, but hell its waterskiing in the theaters.
And thanks to our friends over at Barefoot Central.com we have an interview with the Director/Producer.
Um, am i the only one who the videos don't work for?
ReplyDeleteLadies and gentlemen, please go to 1:54 in the trailer video.
ReplyDeleteYes ladies thats right. The man on the right is the one and only - RIDER STRONG! (Shawn from Boy Meets World in case your Rider Strong Fan Club Membership card is still being renewed like mine is.)
How cool is that?
Seriously this looks like a very decent movie. I say we gotta make a movement that if it does make it to the theatres, we need the ski community IN FORCE to go out and see it and support skiing on the silver screen.
Did you see they were even using the HO wakeskis?
nice catch. did not notice the boy meets world alum. of course maybe thats cuz im way cooler than you.
ReplyDelete/no, not true.
and I think those wake skis are going to be something hugh this year.

I have so much to say about this...
ReplyDelete(a) My roommate in college totally went to HS with Rider Strong. Which makes him nearly 30 playing what looks like an 18 year old. But did you know (according to Wikipedia) that he writes poetry? What a Renaissance man!
(b) Is that Ed Begley Jr.? I loved him as Stan Sitwell.
(c) I think it is more likely that we will be seeing this movie on Lifetime than on the big screen.
hells yea, i freaking love life time. OMG. yea enough of that.
ReplyDeleteActually, the coach of the hockey team is played by a guy named Brian Patrick Clarke..nice wide variety of acting roles, being serious too sort of, ER, Judging AMy, CSI Miami, Party of Five....not bad!
ReplyDeleteEnough with the slashies! FUCK! IMDB the various people in this movie, its not like they are dragging the bottom of barrel, not exactly household names or anything, sorry Cris..i had no idea who Rider Strong was...but, not a bunch of fuck ups either.
ReplyDeleteUPDATE! NO FUCKING WAY!!! One of the dudes in the movie was BO LUKE!!
ReplyDeleteHoly Shit...check it out
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0773884/
So they got a Ed Begley Jr. lookalike. I change my mind. Not Lifetime - more likely it will show up on the Hallmark Channel. Or some soon to be created (if not already) ESPN Movie Channel.
ReplyDeletei could see this on something like versus or abc family or something like that.
ReplyDeletescrew you guys this is going to the theaters....
ReplyDeleteSo Bo Luke is in there, but what he is really cool for is the dad in Superman..the TV show remember?
ReplyDelete\chirp, chirp
OK maybe not.
The main character is Luke from the OC, the guy who Ryan punched in the face in like the first episode, remember he was Marissa's boyfriend when Ryan first came around. Then Seth lived with him and his gay dad in Portland when he ran away! Anyone? Anyone at all? OK, so I watched the entire series of the OC when I was sick once...
*cough* gay *cough*
ReplyDeleteSeems like it'll be like a disney movie, were they take a sport thats pretty cool, and use stupid terminologies, make it look ugly and piss everyone off.
ReplyDeletegay ass name. and i agree about them taking a cool sport and using lame terminologies and making it look bad. other than that it could maybe be a decent movie, just maybe
ReplyDeleteOne of the former students from my art school was in this movie, so m and some friends were able to go and be extras in a scene in the movie. We got to meet Rider, Chris, and most of the main cast. It was totally awesome!
ReplyDeleteTheOC, and I believe Baywatch have representatives as well
